Active appeal
Nepal Flood Relief
Floods in August 2026 hit Dhading, the district where our first program is planned. Every gift is currently being matched dollar for dollar by anonymous donors, up to $5,000. Gifts support Women Equity International’s Nepal flood rehabilitation response.
Community-Based Remittance Investment Program
Empower Her Future is a planned program to turn remittance income into sustainable livelihoods for women in rural Nepal. Through a three-way investment model — combining women’s savings, local government support and additional funding — it is designed to help women start small businesses. Support will fund financial literacy training, mentorship, seed investments and operations.
Empowering Migrants’ Mental Health in Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality, Dhading
Migration out of Dhading District, driven by poverty and limited work, has significant mental health implications for the families left behind — particularly women, children and the elderly. Women Equity Nepal is partnering with Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality to address this. This is the program our first seed grant funds.
