Smita Giri
Smita is a highly skilled and dedicated registered nurse with a true passion for delivering exceptional patient care. With a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and exceptional organizational abilities, Smita upholds the highest standards of patient well-being and safety. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Kathmandu University. Smita’s experience extends to the non-profit sector, where she contributed to the Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities (CREPHA). Her focus was on studying the impact and effectiveness of integrating immediate post-partum IUD services into antenatal counseling and delivery room practices. She is committed to enhancing maternal health practices and improving the quality of care for women throughout pregnancy and childbirth. Driven by a deep passion for community involvement and healthcare, Smita consistently seeks opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband and enjoys exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and traveling.

Sammy Jurado
Sammy is a business administrator and marketing specialist by education. He has navigated the nonprofit world in New York City and Washington DC for more than two decades. He is a native Colombian who moved to the US in 1999 to pursue a graduate degree in direct marketing communications. He later had the opportunity to join an international HIV organization, where he reshaped all of his corporate marketing skills into NGO fundraising and development. Sammy is originally from Cali, Colombia, and currently lives in sunny Florida where he uses his digital marketing skills to promote and operate his own day spa. Sammy has served as board member for other organizations in the past, including The Institute for the Blind and Deaf, and the Colombian Ballet Company.

Anna Grace Tribble
Anna is a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Cultures at Mississippi State University. Her research focuses on the relationship between food and health among households in Iraq. She received her PhD in Medical Anthropology, along with an MPH from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is interested in how stressors like food insecurity experienced in utero and early childhood impact the long-term likelihood of chronic diseases as an adult. She has also worked in Nepal to understand gaps in knowledge about tuberculosis across multiple organizations. Her primary hobbies include cooking Kurdish food and other cuisines from around the world, learning more Arabic and Kurdish, hiking, and loving on my Corgi, Waffles.

Alisha Giri
Alisha is a social science researcher at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics. She recently completed her MPH/PhD in Medical Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University. Her dissertation explored success and livelihood outcomes among transnational migrant labor returnees in rural Nepal. She has multiple years of working on development, programs, and strategy in the international nonprofit space, specifically with maternal and child health, and human rights. Alisha was born in Nepal and grew up in Northern Virginia. She currently resides in the SF Bay Area and loves to explore new places and identify new hiking and running trails in her free time.

Sadikshya Regmi
Sadikshya Regmi, Founder and CEO of Women Equity Nepal (WE Nepal), is a passionate advocate for empowering women and marginalized communities. With over a decade of experience in program management, healthcare education, and grassroots development, Sadikshya combines her expertise in nursing and maternal-child health. Her leadership at WE Nepal focuses on advancing gender equity, improving healthcare access, and addressing climate justice through innovative and community-driven solutions. Holding a Master’s degree in Child Health and Gender socialization, Sadikshya has held diverse roles as a program manager, nursing educator, and volunteer coordinator, earning a reputation for her strategic thinking and dedication to social equity. Beyond her professional achievements, Sadikshya is a registered nurse and proud mother of two, bringing a personal commitment to creating a brighter future for all.

Sundip Gurung
Sundip Gurung (OD, MPH), is a public health professional with global experience in research and healthcare innovation. He works in Research & Development at an NHS trust in the UK. Previously, he managed health projects with the UN Agency for Migration (IOM) and worked with USAID-funded initiatives. His expertise includes health equity, migration health, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, and clinical research.

Urusha Lamshal
Urusha Lamsal is a Young and dynamic forestry graduate with an interest in the intersection of forestry, climate change, society, and sustainable development. She has experience in research and development in the natural resource management sector, having worked with different government and non-government organizations. She has worked on projects in community-based forest management, disaster risk reduction, climate change, GEDSI, and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Urusha is currently pursuing a master's degree in Environment, Natural Resources, and Society at the University of Wyoming and researching climate investment and adaptation strategies, furthering her commitment to addressing global environmental challenges.

Dr. Pasang Tamang
Dr. Pasang Tamang is a committed Public Health professional with over a decade of experience in the field. She has completed her PhD from the University of Huddersfield, UK and currently she is working as a lecturer at the University of Greenwich, UK. Dr. Tamang has worked extensively in Nepal and the UK in various roles, including as a researcher, academic, and humanitarian professional. Her expertise includes Health Systems, Epidemiology, Maternal and Neonatal Health, Health Policy, Systematic Reviews, Human Resources for Health, and Quality of Care. Driven by a passion for humanitarian causes, Dr. Tamang is dedicated to advancing collaborative research and delivering sustainable public health improvements globally.

Prakash Shahi
Prakash Shahi is a committed public health professional with 15 years of experience in health inequality, sexual and reproductive health, health system, academia, research and addressing social determinants of health. Mr. Shahi is currently pursuing PhD from University of Huddersfield, UK. With a strong background in public health, Mr. Shahi has successfully designed and implemented national level program that have improved the maternal and neonatal healthcare for underserved population in Nepal. Mr. Shahi is actively involved in volunteering, humanitarian work, sponsoring poor students in Nepal and the UK.
