Where we are right now
We are early.
Women’s Equity International became a 501(c)(3) public charity in 2024 and funded its first pilot in 2026. That pilot has not started, so there are no outcomes to report yet. What we can show you is the structure behind the work.
A 501(c)(3) public charity since April 2024, incorporated in Maryland. EIN 99-3158422, current on IRS filings.
We work through Women Equity Nepal, a registered Nepali organization with its own board, with Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality in Dhading.
A depression-screening study in Dhading, funded by a seed grant from a U.S. academic institution. Ethics approval will be sought before any fieldwork begins.
Findings from the pilot, including what does not work. We will not post an impact number we cannot source.

Why Gender Inequality
The Sustainable Development Goals recognize the importance of gender equality as a standalone goal (SDG 5: Gender Equality), and as a cross-cutting issue across all goals. The SDGs aim to eliminate gender disparities in education, employment, and decision-making processes.
